Warm spaces at Abbeycroft

A warm welcome awaits you

Hadleigh Pool and Leisure and Kingfisher Leisure Centre, Sudbury

If keeping warm at home this winter becomes a challenge for you  – we’re one of your local warm spaces and you’ll be made very welcone.

Somewhere warm to sit, enjoy a free cuppa, read the paper, play some board games, chat with others or use our pool and have a hot shower.

Everyone is welcome, irrelevant of age or financial status, no questions asked.

Everyday warm drop-in sessions

Weekdays 06:00-21:00
Weekends 08:00-16:00

Our drop-in sessions are available whenever the centres are open for a free hot drink, a hot shower if you require it and somewhere warm to sit and relax. You can also use our free swim vouchers in any normal public swimming session.

Get warmer at the Weekends

Saturday and Sunday 13:00-15:00

Our weekend sessions in the community rooms are when you can pick up a free swim voucher, enjoy a free cuppa, heat your own food in microwaves, play board games and take part in activities such as table tennis and chat to one of our staff.

How to access any of the above services

Whatever day you choose to come in, just ask a member of staff for help if you are unsure of where to go.

The free swim vouchers can only be picked up at the weekends – but you can use them any day of the week (subject to normal opening times).

To use the free swims – simply book your slot at reception – sometimes there is availability straight away – or sometimes you may need to book in advance.

To take advantage of a free cuppa during the week, just ask at the cafe, and at weekends, please help yourself from the community rooms, where you can also heat food in the microwave.
