To celebrate #InternationalWomensDay next week on 8 March, we’re highlighting a Meet Up and Walk event organised by Active Suffolk’s This Girl Can Ambassadors.
Come and meet our local ambassadors from your area and get active as we walk and chat.
The walk is for all abilities and we will be meeting outside Kingfisher Leisure Centre at 4pm on Wednesday 9 March and will stroll along the Railway Walk.
It’s a great way to meet other ladies in the area who are interested in becoming more active.
If you would like to enjoy a coffee and chat before the walk, please do pop to Costa Coffee from 3pm where Shân part of the This Girl Can Suffolk team will be there to meet you.
For further information or questions, please email email@example.com.
The event is completely free of charge – but please book your free place via the button below.

Active Suffolk’s This Girl Can campaign
This Girl Can is a Sport England campaign funded by the National Lottery.
The campaign which first launched in 2015 works to inspire and empower women to participate in sport and physical activity, regardless of their shape, size or ability.
Fear of judgement, lacking confidence, not having enough time – there are a whole host of practical and emotional barriers that prevent many women and girls from being more active. This Girl Can reminds women and girls that there is no ‘right way’ of getting active – if it gets your heart rate up, it counts! So whether it’s cycling to work, literally running the school run, or getting muddy in the park, This Girl Can aims to celebrate all of the amazing ways that women manage to fit exercise into their busy lives.
Active Suffolk supports the This Girl Can campaign and have a team of incredible ambassadors whose role is to help inspire other local females to be active. This page provides further detail about our local This Girl Can project, details on how you can join the ambassador team and links to local challenges and opportunities.
