Memory Walk
Mass participation walk for local dementia groups
EVENT POSTPONED
Unfortunately, we have had to make the decision to postpone the Memory Walk scheduled for May 30th due to the latest official guidance around social distancing and large gatherings.
We will arrange it for an alternative date and keep everyone advised as soon as we are in a position to do so.
Saturday 30 May
Now in its fifth year, this free walk takes place in Sudbury again in 2020, starting and finishing at Kingfisher Leisure Centre, Station Road, Sudbury.
The walk takes in the beautiful Stour Valley Trail and planning for next year’s event has already started.
Registration and participation is FREE, however, all donations are gratefully received and can also be done via the button below.

Event details
There are usually 4 routes; ½ mile, 1 mile, 3 mile and 5 miles. The ½ mile distance was added to encourage families living with dementia to join the walk with their loved ones.
There will be seats along the route to take a well-earned rest and a rest station at the ¼ mile turn around point.
Last year – all donations were equally divided between two local dementia organisations; Decaf – a memory café in Sudbury which is part of the Bridge Project that provides an invaluable community resource for families living with Dementia and Hadleigh Dementia Action Alliance – who organise and support activities in Hadleigh to enable those living with Dementia to live well.
