Sessions and activities designed to improve social connection

We have two group sessions aimed at reducing isolation and loneliness and both are dementia friendly.

Together Tuesdays at Hadleigh Leisure Centre and Sporting Memories at Kingfisher Leisure Centre, Sudbury and Mildenhall Hub.

Reducing Isolation

Together Tuesdays
14:00 Hadleigh Pool and Leisure

Together Tuesday is for people of all abilities and all ages. Whether you have physical or mental disabilities or have seen or unseen conditions such as dementia, we can provide an afternoon that enhances your quality of life. Staff and volunteers are there to help you feel as safe as possible and where appropriate lend a listening ear.

We offer activities such as table cricket, boccia, chair-based exercises, quizzes and bingo.

We also run several special events throughout the year such as visiting the theatre, a fish and chip lunch or pancakes on Shrove Tuesday.

We can offer support and advice to people, and share helpful information including information about local organisations and groups.

Book by clicking the button below or pay when you arrive at the Together session.

Sporting Memories

Wednesdays at Kingfisher 14:15-15:45

Thursdays Mildenhall Hub 13:00-15:00

Sporting Memories sessions are open to everyone over the age of 50 and use sports-based reminiscence resources and develop collections from local groups that rekindle those very special sporting memories and events.

Sessions also incorporate appropriate promotion of gentle exercise and physical activity within a fun and relaxed environment.

The network is part of the Sporting Memories Foundation, the world’s first charity dedicated to sports reminiscence and physical activities, supporting older people to come together in their communities.

The session is FREE to attend and no booking is required.
