Join us to celebrate 75 years of the NHS
The NHS is 75 years old
Treating over a million people a day in England, the NHS touches all of our lives.
When it was founded in 1948, the NHS was the first universal health system to be available to all, free at the point of delivery. Today, nine in 10 people agree that healthcare should be free of charge, and more than four in five agree that care should be available to everyone and that the NHS makes them most proud to be British.

Will you take on the NHS 75 Anniversary Challenge with us?
As well as being a great way to mark the birthday, we all know physical activity is good for your body and mind.
Simply input your activity distance in the counter below so we can see how many miles we have collectively completed.
You can run, walk, swim or cycle!
For those with a competitive edge, we will also be announcing the member who has logged the most miles!
