Active Mums Antenatal Care Programme
Are you pregnant and want to make some healthier lifestyle choices for you and your baby?
Or maybe you’d like to meet some other Mums-to-be?
West Suffolk midwives and Abbeycroft Leisure are running FREE classes for pregnant women who would like to take part in exercise, with advice about a healthier pregnancy, including information about stopping smoking and improving mental wellbeing.
Active Mums is a friendly 75-minute weekly session incorporating antenatal information from a West Suffolk midwife, healthy lifestyle advice from an Active Mums practitioner, as well sessions from other health providers along with some gentle exercise at the end of each week. The sessions take place at the locations and times shown.
The programme content covers:
- Guided gentle exercise each week with a pre-post-natal trained instructor
- Antenatal information from a West Suffolk midwife including active birthing, birthing options and breastfeeding education.
- Stop smoking information and support from a cessation specialist
- Pelvic health and posture change information from Allied Health women’s health physiotherapist
