Our free adventure days and family park cooking days are exceptionally unique, completley free experiences that you and your family will love.

Led by fully qualified and experienced forest leaders, the activites are structured yet bursting with energy and fun.

FREE Family Park Cooking and Adventure Days

MAY HALF TERM – Tuesday 1 June- Friday 4 June

 

These FREE sessions are for families entitled to free school meals, young carers, looked after children, children in care or other identified vulnerable children.

You should only book these sessions if you have received a booking email from Explore Outdoor (exploreoutdoor@acleisure.com)

Each family will only be able to attend one ‘family park cooking‘ day one ‘adventure day‘ during half term.

Adventure days are for children aged 8-12 and there must be at least one child aged over 8 on the adventure days.

HOW TO BOOK

You MUST book in advance and please remember to only book 1 ticket per family.

  • Click “E.O. Free School Session – £0.00”
  • Leave barcode box blank
  • Add 1 to the non-member box
  • Click to “View and Accept the Attendance Rules”
  • Click “Select and Confirm”
  • Complete the information form (check the phone number is correct)
  • Click “Add to Basket” and then Click “Continue”
  • Re-enter your email address
  • Tick the “Terms and Conditions” box

ADVENTURE DAYS KIT LIST

We aim to deliver fun, exciting activities outdoors in all kinds of environment and weathers.

Expect to get wet muddy and to have a great time!

Clothes to wear

  • Warm jumper or fleece
  • Pair of old trousers/Shorts
  • T-shirt
  • Sun hat and sunglasses (April to October)
  • Woolly hat and gloves (October to April)
  • Pair of old trainers or walking boots (Wellies if it is wet)
  • Waterproof Jacket and trousers

Things to bring

  • Water bottle/bottles (Minimum 2ltrs)
  • Sun cream (Factor 30+)
  • Medication (Must be looked after and administered by the young person)
  • Rucksack to carry belongings in
  • Hair tie if you have long hair

What not to bring

  • No mobile phones or other electronics
  • No Expensive clothes or Jewellery
  • No Jeans (Denim is the worst clothing to get wet in)
  • No open-toed shoes/No flip flops or sandals
  • No caffeinated or Energy drinks

Please remember that children who are eligible for free school meals and therefore have a FREE place on the Adveture Days – DO NOT need to bring a packed lunch as we will provide one.

 

Explore Outdoor Covid-19 Adjustments

Please note the following adjustments which we have made to our sessions this summer, to comply with government guidelines.

1. All Explore Outdoor programmes will take place outside to reduce the likelihood of transmission.

2. Toilet facilities at each venue will be cleaned at multiple intervals throughout the day.

3. All children who attend Explore Outdoor Adventure Days/Family Park Cooking are expected to socially distance following government guidance.

4. Explore Outdoor instructors will provide hand sanitisers, and regular handwashing is expected throughout the day.

5. Explore Outdoor Instructors and staff will wear appropriate PPE to administer any first aid.

6. All equipment will be sanitised after use.

7. Children/families who are self-isolating following the government guidelines will NOT be able to attend Explore Outdoor sessions.

8. We recommend parents should reduce the number of times their children attend Explore Outdoor.

9. On arrival, parents and children should remain in their vehicle. An Explore Outdoor instructor will meet you and sign you in. (Adventure days only)

10. Please avoid group gatherings in the car parks.
