Abbeycroft Leisure is recruiting a Health and Wellbeing Coach to join our small team to help oversee the general day to day operations of the Fitness Suite. The role will involve carrying out customer inductions, programme reviews and health & lifestyle assessments. Other key expectations of the role will be to contribute to daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance tasks whilst providing a high level of customer service and interaction.

Experience of working within a fitness club is desired. A Qualification in Level 2 Fitness Instructing (NVQ) is essential for this role. More advanced qualifications such as Level 3 and GP referral would be advantageous in your application, as well as qualifications in one or more of the following Group exercise classes: Indoor Cycling, Circuit Training or Exercise to music.

Shift patterns will include working evenings, weekends and bank holidays. We are looking for a candidate who is flexible and able to assist in covering a range of these hours.

The role will require a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ). Those applying without this qualification will have the opportunity to undertake full training. The qualification requires you to be able to jump/dive into deep water, tread water for 30 seconds, surface dive to the deepest part of the pool (1.8m), Swim 100m continuously on front and back, Swim 50m in less than 60 seconds as well as climb out of the pool unaided.

Group Exercise Coordinator, Newmarket, CLOSES 24/01/20

We’re looking for a Group Exercise coordinator to develop and implement our group exercise programme; manage an instructor team including assessment and competency.

As a Group Exercise coordinator, you will work closely with the Fitness Manager to programme classes at appropriate times to suit the members’ needs. Classes take place in studios, pool and the gym floor.

As well as delivering classes yourself you’ll recruit, train, motivate and evaluate our other Group Exercise Instructors. You’ll also seek out, listen to and respond to member and instructor feedback regarding class scheduling, instruction given and the environment provided.

A fitness based level 2 qualification is essential along with certifications for specific class styles such as Les Mills programmes, Pilates, Yoga or Zumba.

Previous experience of working in a Leisure environment and managing Group exercise programmes is essential. Applicants would be expected to have good knowledge of best practice through health and Fitness, ETM, Group X delivery. Confident and with a strong ability to instruct and teach a range of exercises classes.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who strives to provide a positive and high level of customer service to our members and provide our STEPS Programme to inspire and encourage members to lead a healthier and more active lifestyle.

• A Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification is required.
• A Level 3 qualification is desirable but not essential.
• First aid qualified or able to be trained as a first aider.
• Previous experience in key holder duties is desirable.
• Provide excellent customer service and be focused on member retention.

Other key expectations of the role will be to contribute to daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance tasks both in the gym and sports facilities, whilst providing a high level of customer service and interaction. The role will also include opening and closing the building, sports and class set ups and any other reasonable tasks to support the day-to-day running of the Centre. The role is very varied and involves tasks across the Sports Centre from membership tours, reception duties, sports hall set ups, to gym programmes and HIIT classes, to name a few.

Shifts involve a range of early morning shifts, evening shifts, weekends and bank holidays, including some lone working. You would be responsible for opening and closing the building on certain shifts.

We are looking for a Cleaner to join our team at Mildenhall Swimming Pool.
