NPLQ Course
National Pool Lifeguard Qualifiaction
We are holding an NPLQ course at our Haverhill Leisure Centre later this year and booking is now open.

The number of places available is twelve and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
The cost of the course is £240.00 this includes the exam fee and the RLSS Pool Lifeguard Manual.

The RLSS set out the following requirements for Course members:
Candidates should be fit and healthy and aged 16 on the first day of the course. Completely confident in deep water. Able to swim 50m in one minute or under. Able to swim 100m on their front and back and be efficient in Breaststroke. Be able to perform a Surface Dive to a depth of more than 1.8m and tread water for at least 30 seconds plus climb out unaided without the use of the steps.
