Kirsty Millard 'Receptionist'

Haverhill Leisure Centre receptionist Kirsty Millard has raised £2,248.15 in pledges for her London Marathon run to help a charity that encourages children with disabilities to take up sport. She has followed in her granddad’s footsteps in completing the London Marathon, to help 'Get Kids Going', a national charity which gives disabled children and young people the opportunity of participating in sport. She Completed the marathon in a time of 5:44:16.

Mary Edwards 'Swim Scheme Co-ordinator' & Pat Jason 'Swim Instructor'

Haverhill Leisure Centre staff Mary Edwards and Pat Jason both took part in the the Great East Swim. The Great East Swim is a mile swim across open water(64 lengths of our pool). Mary Edwards completed the challenge in 52 mins raising £900 for the 'Alzheimer's Society'. While Pat Jason completed the challenge for fun. Some members of staff have taken inspiration from Mary and Pat and are currently undergoing trianing for next year's event.
