Swimming Challenges

Swimathon_Logo

Swimathon is the world's biggest fundraising swim!

Check back for information for 2012

Swimathon has been taking place in over 500 pools across the UK for more than 20 years! It has raised over £32 million for various charities with 1/2 million swimmers having swum approximately 24 times around the world! In 2009 almost 15,000 swimmers, we have raised almost £1.5million for Marie Curie Cancer Care and The Swimathon Foundation.

Swimathon is open to everyone, encouraging people to set their own personal challenge by accomplishing a distance of their choice. Swimmers can challenge themselves to the ultimate 5K challenge, 2.5K for the intermediate swimmer or 1.5K for those who swim occasionally. For those interested in joining forces with friends, colleagues or family, the 5K challenge can also be completed as part of a team of up to five people.

Abbeycroft Leisure is a registered Swimathon pool and we’ll be keeping you informed with dates for 2012’s Swimathon, so keep a look out!
