1975 Centre opened
1981 Centre re-opened after fire refurbishment
1990 Nowton Park 11-a-side AWP opened
1992 Pirate pool, flumes, beachside cafe, bar, saunaworld, fitness studio, new reception and offices open
1992 All grass football pitches and the AWP came under the centre's management
1997 West Suffolk Athletics Arena and 11-a-side AWP opened
2000 2 5-a-side AWP's opened at County Upper School
2005 The centres transferred into charitable trust status NPDO in April
2004 Approximatley 10% or 40 square meters of the pool floor tiles lifted leading to an early clouser prior to
the planned clousre due to capital improvement. Also the centre closed due to devastation by the fire in
September that year
2006 Centre re-opened after fire refurbishment
2007 Nowton Park 11-a-side AWP opened after refurbishment in September
2009 West Suffolk Athletics Arena opened after refurbishment in June
2010 Achieved 88% in Lesiure Safe and 83% in Quest. Achieved the Social Enterprise Mark
