Abbeycroft Leisure was established as a non profit distributing organisation to take over the management of Bury and Haverhill Leisure Centres from St. Edmundsbury Borough Council in April 2005.
As an innovative "Leisure Trust", currently structured as a Company Limited by Guarantee, we have charitable objectives which aim to provide our local community with quality leisure services at affordable prices.
Abbeycroft Leisure is governed by an independent Board of Trustees made up of representatives from the West Suffolk area appointed for both their business experience as well as their passion for developing sport and leisure services in their own community.
Day to day management of Abbeycroft Leisure is carried out by an Executive Management Team led by Alison Bowyer (Acting Chief Executive Officer).
