The St Edmundsbury Sports Award 2009
Abbeycroft Leisure hosted their third Annual Sports Awards on Sunday 27th September 2009 at the Corn Exchange in Bury St Edmunds, in order to recognise outstanding sporting achievements made by our many sports men, women and juniors throughout the year and to celebrate the huge amount of work that takes place within sport in the borough of St Edmundsbury.
The ceremony rewarded individuals and teams who have achieved outstanding performance in their field as well as those volunteers and coaches whom without many people would not have had the chances to participate in sport within St Edmundsbury. Planning for the 2010 Awards is well underway and it is hoped that this annual event will continue to grow and develop each year until it becomes an important event in the community.
The award scheme is open to all sports enthusiasts and volunteers who are affiliated to a club within St Edmundsbury, part of a school team in the Borough of St Edmundsbury or reside within St Edmundsbury Borough.
