Sainsburys Sport Relief Mile- Sunday 21st March 2010!
Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives- and one of the best ways to be involved is through running the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile. Abbeycroft Leisure are delighted to announce we will be hosting the Sport Relief Mile on Sunday 21st March 2010 at the Bury St Emunds Leisure Centre using our fantastic athletics track and arena. Raise money for Sport Relief and change lives by either running the 1 mile, 3 miles or 6 miles distance! Its the perfect way to spend the day with your family and friends while having a massive impact on other peoples lives. So what are you waiting for? About Us
Abbeycroft Leisure is a Charitable Leisure Trust and independent, registered Company, Limited by Guarantee.
Established in April 2005, Abbeycroft Leisure currently operates exclusively in the Borough of St Edmundsbury in West Suffolk. As well as continuing to strengthen the relationships with our partners in this region, we are keen to expand the Trust in the next few years, both geographically and in terms of the scope of our work.
Of our many partners, St Edmundsbury Borough Council is one of the most significant as we currently manage both of its Leisure Centres in Haverhill and Bury St Edmunds. Abbeycroft Leisure also delivers much of the Sports Development and Outreach work in the Borough.
Abbeycroft Leisure is governed by an independent Board of Trustees made up of skilled volunteers each with their own areas of expertise and interest. The majority of Trustees are also regular customers of the Leisure Centres we operate.
Our vision is to deliver excellence through innovation and quality, whether that means excellent customer service for visitors to the Leisure Centre, excellent training and development opportunities for our staff or even discovering and supporting Britain’s sports stars of the future.
Our aim is engage with all parts of the local community, from children and families, to teens, professionals and local businesses, people with disabilities, people recovering from illness, competitive sportsmen and women, clubs and societies, pensioners and social groups. Our scope of work is ever expanding and we’d love to hear from you whether you are a potential business partner or sponsor or if you want to find out if we can help you with a health and fitness event or incentive you are trying to get off the ground.
